I have been really busy off late with the last semester now in full gear, internship and my 'lil travelling here and there.

Have taken four modules: two finance ones' and two from the department of management and organization. Things could'ne have been more hectic, it seems like a practical stress management alongside.

I got back from my HongKong trip last thursday. A city that is more like london than Singapore. Busy people only that the faces are asian :) Chaotic but vibrant City.

More on Hong Kong and pictures soon...

National Day 2007

Yesterday was Singapore's 42nd birthday.

6:15 pm - Finally, we managed to get into the crowd of people to watch the national day parade. It was an achievement of some sorts for me especially. I hate to admit but I am sort of scared of crowds and crowded places.

It was crazy to see so many people all together, more than 100,000 turned-up to watch the spectacle othat than us (hahaha). Although it should not be surprising since Singapore is a populated city and one can't escape seeing people everywhere and at all times, but to see them altogether is a different kind of experience. I must say, in spite of the huge number the event was very well managed and the people mostly well behaved. Ok, lets be honest 50% were.

The event was hosted on a floating stage and was full of events and antics in which 6000 odd people took part. Many spectators came three hours before time to avoid the traffic jam and crowd (if that was possible).

Now, coming back to the part I saw :) I saw people and only people. We kept walking in odd directions, hoping that I would see something but! BUT the only thing I saw was the Singapore flag in the air being carried by two helicopters and about three fighter jets. To be honest I did not have to be in the middle of crowd @ marina to see what I managed to see :(

7:15 p.a - O.K so disappointed we waded through the crowd again to reach New Asia Bar or Equinox which is at the 70th floor at the Swissotel. And guess what (no surprise there), all the seats next to the glass window were taken but at least we managed to get couple of chairs to sit. We celebrated Singapore's 42nd birthday getting drunk with a bottle of Moet and Chandon Champagne :)

9:15 p.m - Finally, got drunk (yes I get drunk easily) and come back home (let me not bore you with our adventure trying to get into the MRT that’s another story!).

9:30 p.m - Tried to book the tickets for 'Chek de' but no good seats left, so will try again today.

We = my husband and me unless otherwise mentioned
